2-4 Market Square, Witney

SF Planning

On behalf of our client, Dodo Pubs Ltd, SF Planning Consultants were recently involved in an application for planning permission and listed building consent to change the use of a vacant restaurant into a Public House and for the first and second floors to be used for communal office workspace. The site had previously operated as a restaurant, however, as per the wider hospitality industry, was significantly impacted by Covid-19 and decided not to reopen its doors.

We negotiated with the Council during the application process to ensure the proposed internal works were justified and acceptable, overcoming concerns from officers on the impact on the listed building.

The change of use will support the local economy, ensuring this prominent historic building on Witney High Street is occupied and offering a community meeting place for residents to enjoy when restrictions are lifted next month!

Should you require help with gaining planning permission for your site, or need any help with an appeal process, then please contact us now: info@sfplanning.co.uk or 01242 231575.
