Forest of Dean District Council Strategic Housing & Economic Land Availability Assessment (SHELAA) ‘Call for Sites’

The Forest of Dean District Council is currently undertaking a ‘call for sites’ as it carries out its annual assessment of potential sites as required by the UK government. The council are looking for sites that are suitable for accommodating housing development of all types or employment development. All sites submitted to the council prior to the 29th March will be included in the 2020 SHELAA.

Following the consultation of its Issues and Options version of the Local Plan 2041 the council are looking for any additional sites that may not have been submitted through previous ‘call for sites’ or the latest local plan consultation. As the council is in the early stages of producing its Local Plan this is an opportune time to submit your land to the council with a view to making the site available for future development and for possible inclusion in future versions of the Local Plan.

Clients are advised to contact us as soon as possible if you would like us to submit your land for consideration by the council.
