Minchinhampton Public House SF Planning Limited

The Crown Inn. Sign. SF Planning Limited.SF Planning Limited are pleased to have obtained planning permission for the refurbishment of The Crown Inn in Minchinhampton. Working for our client, and together with MBH Design Studio Ltd, full planning permission and listed building consent has been granted for the refurbishment of the ground floor of the public house and associated works, and change of use of floors 1 and 2 to residential to create three 2-bedroom flats.

Positive pre-application discussions took place with Stroud District Council prior to the submission of the planning application.

The application required careful consideration due to the Grade II listed status of the building and the substantial local support for the retention of the existing public house use.  SF Planning successfully coordinated the application providing convincing information to planning officers and the conservation team for approval.

Work has already started on re-opening the the 300-year-old pub, which has been closed for the past six years.
