Planning Permission for Grade II Listed House

Grade II listed building

Sf Planning have secured planning permission, and listed building consent for an extension to a grade II listed house. This property is situated within the centre of a conservation area on the outskirts of Cheltenham.

A planning application to allow the creation of a new, open plan kitchen and living area for the home in Prestbury was previously refused, citing reasons related to the heritage asset’s conservation. Our client approached us in order to find a solution that could allow the extension of the building to take place. We addressed the previous reasons for refusal, and following our recommendations for some minor amendments to the scheme, a revised planning application was submitted.

Working with the council’s Planning Officer and Conservation Officer, the proposal has recently been approved under delegated powers.

We’re very pleased to have made planning permission for this Grade II Listed House possible for our client. The evolution of this locally important building is an exciting project that we look forward to seeing once completed.
