Agricultural Workers Dwelling

Planning permission

After achieving planning permission on behalf of our client for an agricultural workers dwelling in May 2020, it was really pleasing to return to the site this week to see the new house in place.  Located on Bredon Hill in Wychavon District Council’s administrative area, the property has breath taking views of the wider Cotswold AONB.  A traditional style building constructed of the local Cotswold stone and timber cladding, it responds to the local vernacular of the village and sits comfortably in its surroundings.  Whilst traditional in appearance, every effort has been made to ensure that the house is energy efficient and it combines high levels of insulation and high quality glazing with renewable heating from solar PV panels and an air source heat pump.

It also has a functional role to play for the farm, enabling our clients to live on site at the farm in close proximity to their livestock.  The planning permission was justified on the need for a constant presence at the farm to tend to livestock and the new farm house certainly provides a modern, comfortable and energy efficient home to support the farm activities.

We are really pleased to see the house in place and we wish our clients the very best of luck in their new home. If you require help with planning permission for your site, please don’t hesitate to contact us now on 01242 231575.
