Longfurlong, Gotherington – PiP

PiP

SF Planning were pleased to recently secure Permission in Principle (PiP) for up to 2no. dwellings on a site in Gotherington. We were able to successfully argue that the site constituted ‘infill’ development and was well-related to local services and amenities in the village despite being located just outside of the settlement boundary. The proposed development would also provide an opportunity to secure much needed new homes with the council currently unable to demonstrate a five-year supply of housing land.

The permission in principle consent route is an alternative way of obtaining planning permission for housing-led development which separates the consideration of matters of principle for proposed development from the technical detail of the development.
