New infill dwelling on garden land in the suburb of Podsmead, Gloucester

infill dwelling

SF Planning are delighted to report that full planning permission has recently been granted for a single dwelling on garden land in the Podsmead area of Gloucester.

SF Planning, acting as planning consultants achieved consent for the proposal in collaboration with the applicant, and architectural services delivered by Josh Steele.

The site is within the existing built up area and lies in proximity to a range of services and amenities, making it an ideal location for residential growth.

What’s more is that the scheme was permitted without any parking provision which is slightly unusual as typically local authorities require some form of parking for residential schemes. However in this instance, as the proposal comprises minor development within a highly sustainable location and where ample on-street parking is available, Gloucester City Council granted permission for the proposal despite the lack of parking provision.

The proposed dwelling is in-keeping with the existing area, making a positive contribution to the locality and adding to the housing stock in the city which is currently significantly lacking.
