Permission for self-build on the edge of Cotswold village

Following the refusal of permission in September last year for a new dwelling on the edge of Perrott’s Brook near Cirencester, in the Cotswolds AONB, SF Planning are thrilled to have secured consent for a dwelling in the same position and the same size and design (with a few tweaks to fully address the earlier reasons for refusal) as a self-build unit.

The clients are understandably delighted and even in lockdown have made significant steps to confirm materials and details so they commence work on their ‘forever home’ as soon as possible, with the added benefit of avoiding some hefty CIL charges due to the self-build nature of the scheme.

Credit to all involved; including the planning officer for applying appropriate weight to the importance of meeting the demand for self-build units.
