Warehouse Extension and New Storage Building – Cheltenham

Planning application

SF Planning were appointed by a local Cheltenham based business to assist with their planning application following concerns that were raised by the Local Planning Authority. Their initial application was to be recommended for refusal by planning officers which is when we were brought in to review the proposals and advise on potential next steps.

It was decided to withdraw the initial planning application with a view to resubmitting a more comprehensive application which would clearly demonstrate the potential relationship with neighbouring residential properties. Officers felt the additional information that was provided alleviated their previous concerns and concluded the proposal to be of an acceptable design and to have an acceptable relationship with its surroundings, thereby fully according with relevant planning policies and objectives.

The proposed development will enable the existing and established business to expand and adapt during the current period of economic uncertain in accordance with the principles of the NPPF and those within the locally adopted plans.
